hey dolls! haven't posted anything in a long time due to my schedule change in life. just wanted to update you on the 2 big changes in my life.

first GREAT change that recently happened was that i chopped my hair!! i broke down and got a cute asymmetrical bob. lovin the new do and the fact that i don't have to spend a great amount of time on it anymore. :)

second change that happened was that my baby girl, amelia, turned 1!! can't believe it's been a year already. flew by way too fast and she's such an independent, crybaby girl. haha but i LOVE her so much!

to end the post, wanted to show you the silly kids that i see every day that makes me laugh, smile, cry, yell and love my life.

ELF's Studio Makeup Mist & Set Review

hey ladies. i'm back for the moment and wanted to share a new love of mine.

i was in target one day and i ALWAYS go check out the elf products they have. i always have to get one their waterproof eyeliner pens. i <3 that eyeliner as well. but anyways, i saw way at the bottom, this spray. wondering what it was, i pulled the package and read it. it was their studio makeup mist & set. OMG i had to try it. it's only $3 so i thought, what's the harm? after trying it for a week, i told my sister, kelly, about it, my sister-in-law and one of my friends. it works really well and i love it. so now, on to the review!

packaging: 3/5

elf doesn't have the best or the worst packing but it was nice and simple. it's not sturdy enough so if you want to place the bottle back in there, the top kinda limps out on you.

quality of product: 5/5

i LOVE how this makes my makeup stay all day long. with the heat and humidity we get here in MN, it's good to know this spray makes your makeup stay and doesn't let the sweat streaks break in.

spray pump: 2/5

the sprays aren't consistant when you use it. it's not a mist, that's for sure. you get too much product on you so it somewhat feels like you're drowning in it.

scent: 1/5

i hate the smell so good thing it only lasts a while. they should rework the scent on this spray.

so here's an overview of this product.

too much product comes out when you "mist" your face

hey ladies! been MIA for the past couple months. been busy with getting back to work and having 3 kids to take care of before heading off for the day...but that hasn't stopped me from getting all dolled up! here are some random photos from my time gone away from my blog. will post more pics when i'm not busy again.

hey ladies! i just wanted to briefly show you pics of my little princess that is the newest addition to my little family.

her name is amelia and she was born on oct. 7th at 5:30 pm. she weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz and was 20 inches long.

i must say, she was the speediest of all my kids. she was born within 1 hr of me going in to the hospital! i didn't even have time to take the epidural that i wanted, that's how fast she came. i'm just glad it wasn't as painful as my last baby and that everything went quick.

i'm just glad that she's finally here!!

it's been cold and it's only the beginning of september!

and this was a braid that learned off buzzbeauty's youtube. it was difficult at first to do

but afterwards, it was simple and very pretty. my braid is all twisted cuz my hair was curly.

hey ladies! so, today's my birthday. i feel so old now! lol didn't do much today, just hung out with my boys and then an early dinner with my gf. just wanted to do a quick post on my fotd and my gift i got from my gf.

this is the limited breast cancer "seeing pink" edition travel brushes by sonia kashuk

i think they're softer than the set that i got last xmas. i can't wait to use them!

i might have to go get the other set too if i can find it... i like it cuz it comes with a pink glitter clutch. :P

but with the travel size, you get a travel case, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush,

a crease/blending brush & a concealer brush

no work for me yesterday since it was my son, mitchell's kindergarten graduation.

i'm so proud of him for making it through his first year of real school. yay!

he now has a month off from school, then back to it again after labor day.

and here's my fotd that i did for his graduation...kept it simple since it was sooo darn hot out!

p.s. don't mind my dirty mirror... it's tiring leaning and reaching over the bathroom sink just to clean off the mirror and the mr. won't do it. :(

hey ladies! can't believe today is the first day of august already! seems like summer flew by so fast and will end fast too. all i gotta say is 2 more months til my due date! yay!! i can't wait for my little one to come!

i got these these "rockstar" booties from dots for $24. love them! can't believe i've seen these booties elsewhere, esp online, for more than what i bought them for at dots. such a great deal!

but yet again, won't be sporting both booties below until after my baby comes.

i got them for $20

that's it for my haul that i got over the weekend. i love every piece that i got and CAN'T wait to be able to sport most of it. so for now, it'll only be the accessories that i will be sporting during the rest of my pregnancy.

don't mind the polish around my nails... didn't have time to clean them up.

this beautiful necklace was given to me from my coworker, sandy, as a prego gift.

then there's this necklace that i bought off etsy.com. i fell in love with it when i saw it!

the only downfall of this necklace was that i thought it was going to be longer... it's more like a choker

but not really either. but i still love it!

hello ladies! sorry i've been MIA. being prego has been kicking my butt...found out last week that i have a bladder infection. that was not fun and super scary. other than that, i've just been swamped with work and with family. not enough time to myself...

hey ladies!! it's been a long time again since i've blogged. been super busy trying to get things together for a very last minute wedding for me & the Mr.

we finally had our small non-traditional Hmong and American wedding on may 1st. it was such a hectic time getting ready for it since it only 2 weeks away from the day we decided on a date. the day before the wedding was really hectic with all the running around getting food and drinks. the actual day was busy with cooking and decorating. overall, i'm just glad the day was successful and it's done and over with and we can finally say we're husband and wife. we've waited too long and it was worth it.

been M.I.A too long

hey ladies... it's been so long. sorry to have gone m.i.a for quite some time now. it's been a crazy couple months. first things first... i'm PREGNANT again so hence the m.i.a. just starting to finally get over all the lovely sickness that comes with being prego. then we also had a family trip to florida at the end of feb. that was fun and relaxing. another part to not being able to post much is that our computer at home has a damn virus on it again... i blame my younger brother. lol waiting on getting my sister & bro-in-law's computer but who knows when that'll be... so hopefully within these next couple weeksor so, we'll get the computer so i can start posting makeup looks again.

hey ladies! i've been wanting to try the new eyeshadow quads by maybelline. i finally got 2 while they were still buy one get one 1/2 off at walgreens. and i also got this rimmel sexy curves mascara. i tried it but i don't like how they make my lashes too straight. i think i'll stick to my hg mascara, lashblast.

1. as much as i am anal about certain things and keeping my stuff clean... I HATE KEEPING MY HOUSE TOTALLY CLEAN! LOL does that sound weird? i hate cleaning cuz with 2 little boys, it gets messy right away. my house is a mess. lol

2. i have not traveled as much as a person my age should have. i have only been to cali, florida, wis (my home state) and here (mn)... i feel like i'm so old and leaving my kids with anyone for too long seems like a burden to the people who will be watching them. guess i'll never have a long vacation ever until my kids are old enough to take care of themselves. lol but then again, we're planning a weekend vaca to vegas this march. :P

3. i have NOT gone to a concert ever! that's so sad to say.

4. i speak very bad hmong (my other language). lol i think i'm good but man, when the old folks talk to me, i'm just like "huh?" even when my girlfriends, who speak better hmong than i do, talk to me... i go "huh?" to them too

5. i act like i'm a badass in real life but it's only an act... i'm a soft hearted girl who just doesn't want to get screwed over by anyone... so i have my guard up a lot of the times.

6. i'm the type of person who wants to do something all the time. i can't sit still unless i'm tired or it's way cold out. maybe that's why my son, mitchell, is like that too. lol

7. everyone that i know thinks i'm high maintenanced but i don't think i am. LOL the Mr. says "yeah, you are... wait, no you're not cuz the clothes you buy are cheap. you're only high maintenanced with your makeup and going places." LOL he's so mean, yet so true.

HAPPY BELATED HOLIDAYS! I hope all you ladies had a great Christmas! I know I did... even though we bounced to 3 different houses that day... and in crappy snowy weather too. I'm just glad we made it to all 3 houses safely and we had a good time.

This was right after Gavin opened his gift from his Auntie and Uncle. He got a sippy cup with his name on there and a long sleeve shirt. He looks kinda fobby since his pant legs are all wacky looking. LMAO But at least he matches my sister, Shoua's striped socks. ahahaha

ok... here's my post about the Hmong New Year at the Metrodome. you know, Hmong New Year's aren't like how they used to be when I was a teenager. now they're just boring and kinda dumb... hardly no one attends them any more... only the young kids who still want to go hit on other young kids... the old folks who wanna go show themselves off... then the sports players... there's nothing for the people in between all those ages... they're simply not entertaining anymore. :(

but anyways... i was gonna wear some thai/lao clothes that my mom made but the top looked dumb on me and i didn't have a regular top that went well with the skirt. so after all that debate and trying on all these clothes, i decided to just wear regular clothes.

hey ladies! so i finally used the maybelline gift pack (that i posted up on my last post) for my EOTD today. i LOVE the e/s quad and the liquid liner! the mascara...not so much. why? you ask. since it's not waterproof... it doesn't hold my curled eyelashes so that's a downer for me. *frowns* i like it cuz of the length but the flat lashes are the issue. lol

hey ladies! first off, just want to say 'hope you guys all had a good thanksgiving!"' mine went pretty well considering this was my first thanksgiving that i cooked by myself (some help from the 2 younger siblings). but man, i dunno if i wanna do all that cooking by myself again... i was pooped out by the end of the night. lol

anyways, on to the main topic of makeup. i went to wal-mart after work today for a few household items. but you know i had to go to the makeup section. lol

to my surprise, at an end cap of one of the aisles, there were these maybelline gift packs for $9!! what a steal!!

they had 5 different packs... this is the one i got for myself.

this one has a e/s quad called 'charcoal smokes', line stiletto liquid liner and their new lash stilettos mascara.

i got this one for myself since i like the quad and i have been wanting to try this new mascara of theirs.

i actually bought two of these.. the other one is a different pack but has the same e/s quad. i got that for a gift for my secret santa. good thing she doesn't read blogs... or at least i hope she doesn't. LOL

btw, this is what happens when you don't have a camera anymore...you lack the posts that you should be posting. haha

i want to show you ladies my recent clothing hauls (including my mini one from black friday) but can't do that since the quality of my camera phone kinda sucks right now (have one too many photos stored that's why) guess it'll just have to wait til i get a camera and/or make space on my camera phone.

hey ladies! long while since i posted. just wanted to share that i finally ordered my thigh high boots!!! i'm so excited to get them, hopefully next week, so i can sport them before the snow comes! they will look good with my shoe collection. :D

i have my eyes on a couple other pairs of shoes for the winter... will have to work out my finances so i can get them all. lol

this is a FOTD from last saturday when i went to my cousin's baby shower. my sister, kelly, broke my camera right before halloween so i have no camera and have been deprived... *cries* the Mr. won't let me get a new one until the new year... so until then, i will only have my camera phone.

then here's my look from some day last week... yes, i'm sipping on my fave drink of the moment. :) the Mr. actually complimented me on how nice i looked that day....it was surprising since he hardly compliments me anymore.

hey ladies. so halloween's coming up and the Mr. wanted to get some pumpkins to carve or what not. well, instead of doing that, a coworker of mine grew little pumpkins/squashes in her back yard. she had a bunch so she brought them into work and gave them out. i was just sooo glad that i got the last 4! so, here's our recreation of ourselves on our little pumpkins.

here is the haul i meant to post that i got from elf. they were having their 50% off their 10 pc set of their studio brushes. so, basically i got this set for $15. i will have to take better pics of them when i actually start using them after cleaning them. but i left the brushes and they are super soft and i can't wait to use them. the set consists of:

since it's football season, every sunday is all about football for the Mr. he gets sooo into it and so do my boys... and i must admit, sometimes, even i get into it. lol i know! it's weird. he is a major die hard mn vikings fan and has even gotten both the boys viking jerseys so them 3 can match. luckily today, i wasn't there to witness the whole game. :P but we did manage to throw in some family time together. *big smiles*

i didn't get around to posting this yesterday so i'll do it today. this was my simple, fast purple look that i did for church. the Mr. said i looked like a "biker chick" since i wore my black faux leather jacket. man, it's cold and it's the only black jacket of mine that was out so might as well. lol

kelly and i haven't seen each other for a while so we got together sat night and played with makeup!

this is the purple/yellow look i came up with for her. she wasn't too sure on the color combo and

also cuz it's the mn vikings colors (she doesn't really like them but the Mr. LOVES the vikings lmao).

i told her not to worry about the combo since i've seen tons of you ladies sporting that purple/yellow duo.

but, i kinda screwed up on the bottom liner on her left eye but hey, it still looks good. i was

very proud of myself for the great work i did that night with her look...

also cuz kelly liked the way it turned out. *pats self on back* lol

so the mr. rented this movie for me the other day and we finally watched it last night. there's not much to say besides it's a pretty good chick flick...just like the rest of the chick flicks out there. it's kinda like "the christmas carol" but with the twist of the playa playa. lol if you ladies haven't seen it, rent it and watch it.

so these pics are from our girls night last friday night. we were supposed to go to a fashion event in downtown minneapolis but my gf's hubby didn't get home on time so we just ended up going to the bar for a bit.

this was my OOTN (outfit of the night). we were rushing to get out of the house but i couldn't decide on what to wear. so i pulled out mr.'s t-shirt that he didn't want, started cutting it up and this is what i came up with. lol i think it all came together. loved it and will probably wear it out another time. :P

this is my gf who just had her baby girl like 2 or so weeks ago. damn, she looked so cute that night! she didn't even look like she just had a baby. lol

and of course, can't leave the sister-in-laws out. these too suckers went downtown afterwards and i couldn't go with. :( i would have gotten into A LOT of trouble if i went with them and didn't come home til the wee hours at night. lol so better to place it safe and headed home early.

hey ladies. i meant to post this last night but i got too tired after eating so much food. lol but i had a blast this past weekend just hanging out with the family and some friends. i don't have my pics up from my short girls night on friday night. my gf was the only one who had a camera so she still has yet to upload them. we were supposed to go to the mn fashion week but man, that didn't work out so we just went to a bar instead. lol

anyways, saturday was my younger brother's 24th birthday so we went to hang out with him, the rest of my family and then my bro's friends (who all came later on during the night). it was fun just hanging out with the family and meeting new people as well.

here's my look for the day... a simple neutral brown look. i used my 120 pallet, my mary kay liquid and mineral foundation, maybelline liquid liner, rimmel black liner, cover girl bronzer along with my 2 elf bronzers, and lashblast mascara. my hair was like this from friday night and i was a bit lazy to take it out so wore it again on saturday. lol

then this was my look for sunday. mr. was sick so he stayed home and watched his usual sunday football games all day. i took my little sis, kelly, shopping for a homecoming dress. i will have to show you my little clothing/accessories haul later.

for this look, i used all the same products except the 120 pallet. i used my la colors pallet instead.

after our shopping trip, me and the family went up to mr.'s mom's house for a bit. it was really windy and it rained a bit... it's getting colder and colder every day. i'm sad yet happy too. sad cuz summer's gone and the snow will be here sooner than we know it. happy cuz i get to sport boots now! lol

Happy & Exciting News!!

Hey ladies. So I have some happy and exciting news that I want to share with you all... since I will probably put my journey on here as well...

Mr. & I are FINALLY getting married!! YAY!!!

After 2 longs years of cultural bs from relatives, we are finally able to take this next step in our life together. We both are very excited and VERY happy that we can move on.

I have soo many ideas planned already since he wants to get hitched by next summer and we have our cultural wedding at the beginning of Oct. yikes!

It all seems to be happening so fast. I remember when we first met and got to know each other and then got prego with Gavin... and now we're here. :P

THRIFT SHOPS!!! just spent like $90 yesterday at 1 thrift store. OMG!! i love this thrift shop that we went to. they have so much variety and not to mention, they were having their 75% off certain summer items. lots of stuff were going fast!! i think i might hit that store up again next week to grab a couple more items that i didn't get. but here is my haul from today's shopping (this is excluding kelly's stuff that i bought for her) ***heavy img

here's my lil' man in his blazer and dress shirt & tie. he LOVES it! and it was a good price too! everything we got was less than $5 besides 3 items.

don't mind the tag that's still on the scarf... ^_^

i might return the white mini cuz it's a bit small but man, it was less than $2... i think i could make it a high waisted mini and wear leggings/tights under neath.

and my FAVE find of the day... this dark brown faux leather jacket!! so darn hot and i've been looking for a leather jacket too....now gotta get me one in black keke

hey ladies! i'm so super excited cuz i just received my bday present from the Mr. *screams* I SUPER LOVE HIM FOR GETTING ME THESE SHOES!!! i've been wanting a pair of these studded heels for the longest time and when i first found a knock off pair, they were going for $66 bucks on ebay. Mr. didn't want to spend that much on a pair of shoes for me so when i found them on makemechic.com for only $23, i had to tell him to get them for me for my bday next month. ^_^ after s&h charges, it was about half the price of the first pair i found. SUPER EXCITED TO SPORT THESE FOR MY BDAY!

then last weekend, during gavin's bday party, my bestie gave me my bday gift as well. she told me "when i saw this, i thought 'this is so pang.'" and when i saw it, i totally agreed with her!! love the necklace she got me too!! so funny how i was asking one of the Mr.'s older sis to make me a similar necklace to this one. now she won't have to. ^_^

hey ladies! so during lunch today, i went over to plato's closet to check out their stash of thrifted clothes. didn't really find any clothing that i liked since i was on a time limit but i did find some cute shoes for $6. yes, that's right $6!! i was thrilled. they're so cute and good for work as well. :P

today was also my first day back to work from my 4 day weekend. during my absence at work, the skirt that i ordered from f21 last week came in. i was super excited to get home and try it on. sad to say, when i tried it on, it didn't fit as tightly as i hoped for. i got a large, thinking it would be like one of the other skirts i got from there. boy, i was wrong. anyways, thinking about asking my mom to alter it somehow to fit me, if not, i'll just give it to kelly.

i love the faux leather look it has...that's the main reason i bought it.

but since that since didn't work out, i'm thinking about getting both these skirts instead.

love the zipper details on this skirt, both front and back ^_^

i love the crazy black and white design on here. and it's less than $10 so why not.

ok, now i'm all excited about ordering these! *eek! p.s. this is what happens when you're bored and wanna surf the net lol

my baby's 1!! cries

so, my baby turned 1 on july 18th. *cries* we had two parties for him...one on his actual bday (a mini party so my bro who's in the army and my mom could celebrate with us) and then one just this past weekend for the rest of the family and friends.

he's getting so big and independent...although, still a crybaby but oh well. still love his chunky butt. :P

hey chicas! gosh, i haven't posted in a while so i'll share some of the recent looks i did that i actually took pics of.

thought about wearing my hair down this day but man, it started getting hot so i ended up putting it up to the side. lol the heat & humidity is driving me CRAZY!!

these are 2 of the lasts pics i took before i got my hair cut/trimmed.

here's my new look after getting my hair cut last friday. took about 3 inches off (finally all the split ends of mine are GONE!), had more layers added and trimmed the bangs a bit. i feel a bit rockstar-ish. :P

this look was on gavin's bday. didn't do anything special cuz the big party's this weekend instead.

Gosh, I feel like I haven't posted in forever. Still very busy with stuff, since it is summer. I take so many pics yet don't have time to post and/or upload them at all. lol But I just wanted to post up some pics from July 4.

eyes: pink & coral-pink from my kleancolor pallet (i got this for $1 at the flea market woot!), dark purple & black from my 120 pallet, Jane Gel liner, Rimmel black liner to tight line upper lash line, CG mascara (forgot the name but it's the one that's supposed to add the hint of light to your eyes), and some falsies

it was a fun, crazy night! haven't had fun like that in a long time. i'm just glad my bff had a blast too!

That night, after taking pics with the sisters, we went out for sushi with our other couple, Bee & Eric, that completes the trio couple.

It was the Mr.'s bday on June 11 so we did a bbq for him that following Saturday. Man, all I gotta say is "drunk guys are funny." :P But these are only the before pics...no drunk pics of the funny men.

I also did a colorful look on Kelly one day after work cuz we were bored. I like the look I did on her so I will have to try it on myself one of these days. :P

Then last Friday, June 19, we went to a friend's bday and I did Shoua's makeup again (I also did her makeup when we went to go take pics).

I must say, I LOVED MY MAKEUP THAT NIGHT!! Well, basically LOVED my whole look for the night! I loved my sister's look.. Bee's look... us ladies looked very lovely that night. Who knows when we'll be dressing up again like this. Oh wait, that's right, for my bday in August! :P
